    Inclement Weather Procedure

In light of the current unfavorable weather conditions, we would like to inform you about our league play and the procedures we have in place for handling games and potential postponements.

To stay informed about diamond closures and the status of baseball activities, we strongly encourage you to visit the Lethbridge Little League website. Every day at 4:00 PM, the website will be updated with the latest information regarding baseball activities for that day.

It is important to keep in mind that Lethbridge weather can change rapidly, and a day that initially seems unsuitable for play may actually turn out to be perfect for a game. When the weather is poor, we kindly request that you refrain from contacting the LLLBA league or board members regarding cancellations and diamond status.

Due to the large number of players, it is not feasible for us to respond to these inquiries in a timely manner. The LLLBA maintenance team ensures that the league is updated on diamond conditions shortly before 4:00 PM, ensuring that we have the most accurate and up-to-date information before making any cancellation decisions.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

    Player Equipment

Parents and players: presented below are the equipment recommendations for families as we get ready for the upcoming season.

Firstly, all Lethbridge Little League families are eligible for a 10% discount on their purchases at Doug's Sports. They are well-versed in Little League regulations regarding equipment and carry equipment that complies with these guidelines.

    All Levels

Players must have their own batting helmet and groin protection each season. Additionally, players must provide their own baseball glove.

Athletic pants/shorts and shoes are required for T-ball and Coach Pitch players during athletic activities. However, at the Rookie division and higher, coaches have the authority to request baseball pants for all players based on their discretion.

    Optional Equipment

Players at any level can wear cleats. Metal cleats are only allowed for players at the intermediate level or higher. Pitchers are not permitted to wear metal cleats on portable pitching mounds at any time. Some players may opt to have their own bats, which must be USA baseball certified. Further details on bat regulations can be found at:
    https://www.littleleague.org/playing-rules/bat-rules/

Other optional equipment includes batting gloves and other protective gear used for hitting.

Teams are supplied with catcher's gloves, catcher's equipment, and team bats.
